Dola Sen Bio
Dola Sen is a well-known Indian politician and also trade unionist. She served as the West Bengal State president of the Indian National Trina mool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) as of 2014. She is a Member of Parliament for Rajya Sabha since 2017. She is a member of the Trina mool Congress political party.

Early life and Education
Dola Sen was born on 26 March 1967 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Currently, she is 54 years old as of 2021. Her father’s name was Late Ramal Sen and her mother’s name was Shrimati Jayati Sen.
She has pursued her BSc degree in Mathematics from Calcutta University, Kolkata in the year 1990. She lives at Tegharia, Rajarhat.
Political career
In the 2014 Indian General election, All India Trinamool Congress fielded her as its candidate for the Asansol Lok Sabha seat. She was elected to Rajya Sabha, the Upper house of Indian Parliament from West Bengal.
On 29 August 2017, she became the Member of Parliament for Rajya Sabha from the West Bengal constituency. She was preceded by Srinjoy Bose.
On 21 September 2020, she along with seven other members got suspended from the Rajya Sabha for their disorderly behavior in the house. Their unruly behavior included tearing documents, breaking mics, standing on tables, and heckling the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha so their actions were condemned by several leaders. And thus they were suspended.
Story of suspension
Dola Sen, Trinamool Congress MP, got suspended from Rajya Sabha. She said that they have been punished for raising people’s voices.
She stated that “It is our responsibility to raise people’s voices inside the Parliament. We were doing that and we have been punished for that. They are arrogant about having the majority in both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. We are for the people, farmers, and the constitution and they are against it. If they don’t allow us to raise our voices inside the Parliament, we will raise it outside.”
12 MPs were suspended from the Rajya Sabha and among them, six were from Congress.
