    The movie starred four childhood friends Gopal (played by Ajay Devgn), Lucky (played by Arshad Warsi), Madhav ( played by Tusshar Kapoor), and Laxman (played by Sharman Joshi). They have no aim in their lives and earn their livelihood by tricking people which they find fun. Laxman is good at studies but always gets influenced by his friends and uses his hostel room to have fun and do nonsense activities. He always gets forced by his friends to do such kinds of activities to earn for himself and his friends. Due to their notorious activities, he was thrown out of the hostel with his baggage. So the four friends find their shelter in an old blind couple’s house, as their grandson who lives in the US. And by coincidence, Lakshan’s body and Gopal’s voice match their grandson’s figure so the old couple mistakes him as his grandson. Golmaal was a hit at the box office and got both positive and negative reviews. People like the plot of the movie and the gang. The movie got negative reviews because people find many of the jokes lame and illogical. The movie was awarded Zee Cine Award for Best Cinematography and Zee Cine critics award for best film.
